Bicolored-Hawk attacking a Channel Billed Toucan, in southern Brazil. After about 10 minutes trying to kill the toucan, the hawk gave up and flew away
 Looks like birds might not be so fragile as some predict or their thin skin is protected by a thick layer of feathers. Its surprising how birds can survive each others talons yet golden eagles have been killed by Scottish wild cats despite the fact its claws are not as long as that of hawks (probably). |
